fifawall is a small, personal project for logging FIFA matches between a group of friends. This page explains what information the app collects and how it's used.
Information we collect
When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile photo from your Google account. We use this to create your fifawall account and pre-fill your username and avatar — you can change either at any time.
When you post a match, we store the screenshot you upload along with the team names, score, and players involved. Screenshots are processed by OpenAI's API to automatically read the match details off the image.
We use cookies and a “remember me” token to keep you signed in across visits.
How your data is used
Match results — including team names, scores, screenshots, and the usernames of the players involved — are shown on the public wall, which is the entire point of fifawall. Don't upload a match if you don't want it visible to other users of the app.
Your email address and Google account identifier are used only to sign you in and are not shown to other users or shared with anyone beyond the service providers below.
Who we share data with
We don't sell your data or share it for advertising. Data passes through a small number of service providers required to run the app: Google (sign-in), OpenAI (reading match details off screenshots you upload), and our hosting provider.
Data retention and deletion
We keep your account and match history for as long as your account exists. If you'd like your account or data deleted, reach out at the contact below and we'll take care of it.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes in any meaningful way, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
